Aloe arborescens - 15/17cm

Aloe arborescens (Torch Aloe) is a large, branching succulent shrub with rosettes of narrow, spiny-edged leaves and striking spikes of bright red to orange tubular flowers in midwinter to early spring. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, with low water needs and excellent drought tolerance once established. Highly attractive to birds, bees, and butterflies, it's ideal for rocky slopes, borders, and water-wise gardens. It can reach 2-3 metres tall, forms dense clumps, and also has traditional medicinal uses. Protect from prolonged frost.
