Hyacinthoides non-scripta (Blue Bells) - 15cm

Hyacinthoides non-scripta (Blue Bells) is a spring-flowering bulbous perennial that produces arching stems lined with drooping, bell-shaped violet-blue flowers in spring. The blooms are sweetly fragrant and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators. It thrives in partial shade, especially beneath deciduous trees or in woodland-style gardens, and prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Once planted, it naturalises easily, forming dense carpets of colour each season. Low-maintenance and hardy, it requires little care beyond occasional dividing of crowded clumps.
