Leucadendron 'Silver Tree' - 15cm

Leucadendron 'Silver Tree' is a striking evergreen tree native to the cape, grown for its large, sliky, silver-grey leaves that shimmer in the sun. It produces small, yellowish cone-like flowers in spring, but is mostly prized for its foliage. A fast grower, it can reach 7-10m tall, forming a tall, upright tree with a rounded crown. It thrives in full sun and well-drained, acidic, sandy soil, and is highly drought-tolerant once established. Best used as a feature tree, it adds bold structure and shine to the landscape but has a relatively short lifespan (About 20 years).
